: .; Wise Solutions professional development seminars have a significant impact on staff well being. The 9th International Mental Health Conference was this year held on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
Amongst the speakers were our very own Dr Helen Street and Mr Neil Porter presenting findings from onging research examining the effectiveness of Wise Solutions professional development seminars. The presentation examined the importance of motivations controlling goal setting and pursuit in the development and maintenance of ongoing well being. Findings suggest that strategies focusing on healthy means of goal setting provide an innovative approach to stress reduction.
Standing Without Shoes (Book): Creating happiness, relieving depression, enhancing life. Standing Without Shoes has a foreword by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This popular Australian self-help book promotes a solution focused approach to improving well being. Helen Street and her co-author George Burns discuss the need to improve our understanding of our own path to happiness as a means to preventing and treating depression. Wise services.

Wise Solutions evalutation services have been designed for use in ALL Australian and New Zealand schools. They provide objective, detailed information about the mental health status of ALL staff and/or students in the school environment. Wise Solutions currently has four key services for staff and students – The Complete Package (CP) offers a comprehensive mental health evaluation of the entire student population whereas The High Risk Package (HRP) focuses on the identification of clinically vulnerable students within that population. Both the Staff Evalu ation Package (SEP) and the Individual Package (IP) focus on the evaluation of stress, distress and wellbeing with a particular focus on the work setting. The SEP provides an anonymous overview of the entire school staff whereas the IP allows for an indepth evaluation of individual staff members. Note: All reports take 10 working days
